Do you want to be on the TADA! stage?

Sign Ups for Open Auditions for the Resident Youth Ensemble of TADA (RYET) are now OPEN!

We are only taking Boy & Gender Expansive auditionees ages 8 through 18 years old, grades 2nd-11th grade who are available to participate in our Winter show (dates and details on the linked sign up form). If your auditionee is younger than this or does not fit our other criteria, please wait for next year’s auditions.

Audition slots are available for the following dates/times. Use the link above to sign up!

Wednesday, December 10th: 4:30-5:45pm

Thursday, December 11th: 5:30-6:45pm

If you have any questions or would like to be put on the email list for future auditions, please email Ashley Knowles, Associate Director of RYET Program, at aknowles@tadatheater.com.

REQUIRED Invited Callbacks (Must be available to attend all the full timeslot): Wednesday, December 17th, 4:00-7:00pm. If you are not available for this callback, we ask you to skip these auditions and audition with us in the future.

WHERE: TADA! Youth Theater, on 28th Street between 5th and Broadway in midtown, New York City.

WEAR: Auditionees should attend wearing clothes in which they can move/dance, eg. sweat pants/leggings,  sneakers/jazz shoes, no jeans, and all jewelry removed.

WHAT: Audition now to join our program that offers after school musical theater training and classes and performance opportunities in our mainstage productions to kids/children ages 8-18 FOR FREE. We don’t require auditionees to prepare anything in advance!

  • Once auditionees arrive on their audition date, they’ll sign in, receive a name tag, and join others in the room.
  • Together as a group they will learn 16-32 bars of a song and dance number from our musical director and choreographer then perform this in smaller groups.
  • These are closed auditions, so all Parents/Guardians must drop off their auditionee and come back to pick them up afterward.
  • We will invite some auditionees to callbacks via email, during which they will once again (as a group) learn 16-32 bars of a song and dance and then read scenes with someone else in the room.
  • Auditionees will then receive either an email inviting them to audition again, or a phone call welcoming them to the RYET program.e full
