It’s Tuesday, and you know what that means? Tuesdays are for Teaching Artists! Meet Michael Finke (he/him), a Music Director teaching artist returning to TADA! Youth Theater.
Originally from the border area of Boca Raton, FL, Michael now resides in Queens, NY.
Get to know Michael a little better with this fun Q&A!
Arts Education can change the world but it’s useless unless every young person has access to it. And that’s why TADA! is so important especially in the current world we live in, because TADA! makes arts education accessible to any and all young people who seek it out.
Arts Education teaches young people how to not only think creatively and collaboratively, but to also empathize with those who might be different than you. And empathy is definitely something we could always use more of.
Seeing students get excited about learning something new!
“New York State of Mind” by Billy Joel because it’s a song that tells me to relax, take it easy, and be proud of where I am and where I’m going.
J. Pierrepont Finch from “How to Succeed” because sometimes I make things up as I go and try to keep folks happy along the way!
