Vielka Kelly-Weiss

Vielka is the Founder and CEO of Young Singers Academy, where
she leads a team that empowers kids ages 3-18 to sing with
confidence using her innovative approach to voice education for
singers and speakers.

Previously she was at The Juilliard School and Carnegie Hall where
she was a thought partner for music educators around the world and
creator of music education resources. A classical contralto, she has
performed at Lincoln Center, the United Nations, and Carnegie Hall.
She received her M.A. in Music Education from New York University,
and B.M. in Classical Voice from Manhattan School of Music.

Vielka is the founder and conductor of the Hewitt Community
Chorus. She has previously served on the New York City boards of
the National Association of Teachers of Singing and Kodály
Organization. She also helped bring music education back into her
local elementary school, P.S. 41.

Vielka is the proud mother of two children, and lives with her
husband and two kittens in Greenwich Village. When she’s not
singing, teaching or learning, she loves yoga, meditating, running,
traveling, and enjoying her view.
