Julia Jordan Kamanda

Julia Jordan Kamanda, is music composer for Common Ground and a proud TADA! Alum. Her goal in work and life is to create musical experiences for families who seek to find a deeper connection – to themselves, to others, and to the world around them. She is a singer/songwriter and the author/composer of Musical Tales for Modern Minds storybooks with Hal Leonard. As the owner and creative director of the Young Musician Academy, she mentors young adults in a contemporary music performance platform based in Lancaster, PA. She splits her time between the United States and rural Sierra Leone, West Africa working with her husband, award-winning filmmaker Ali Biko Sulaiman Kamanda, to establish a creative arts enrichment program at his Mamaland Children’s Community there. She hosts an interview-based podcast available on Spotify entitled Creative Parenting Conversations. Original music is also found on that platform under Artists/Julia Jordan.
