Letter from the Director of Education:
Rod Christensen, Director of Education
Why is arts education valuable?
Arts education offers invaluable opportunities to empower and transform individuals, shape society, and experience essentail life skills in creativity, collaboration, reflection, self-discipline, communication, and compassion for all. The arts are elastic; they are highly adaptable to a wide range of learning styles and levels. Art is what it is to be human.
At TADA! we have Musical Theater programming that engages Pre-K to 12th grade students from all racial, economic, and social backgrounds. TADA! students learn, explore, and enjoy the world of Musical Theater through the: 1) foundational skills of acting, singing, dancing and playwriting; 2) arts integration of classroom curriculum; and 3) building children's critical thinking skills, artistic expression, collaboration and self-confidence.
TADA! runs weekly in-school residencies, after-school classes, and school-break camps both onsite and off-site year-round to give kids valuable opportunites to learn and explore the arts that incorporates original songs from TADA! shows and age appropriate selections from Broadway and off-Broadway productions. In keeping with our philosophy, each class provides learning for a range of ages and are team-taught by two professional Teaching Artists, and culminate with a Final Sharing in the last session. TADA! works to build self-confidence and challenges each child to be the very best they can be!
Please never hesitate to contact us directly if you have any questions about our programming. We hope to see you at TADA! in a class, camp, or at one of our Resident Youth Ensemble shows very soon!
