TADA! Youth Theater, the Drama Desk Award-winning home for original family musicals, classes, school programs and more seeks a part-time general office Administrative Assistant. This is a part-time entry level position, some evenings and weekends may be necessary.
Responsibilities will include general reception (phones, doors, general inquires); customer service, (processing phone orders for shows, classes and camps; greeting patrons on site), office management (dealing with supplies, deliveries, vendors, scheduling, organizing, staff celebrations, space appearance, new hire training, etc. ) and other general organizational tasks as they come up.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter; a problem solver; a patient customer service representative; somewhat tech savvy, especially related to office equipment; and an efficient worker, who can roll with the punches in a fast-paced environment. Position is ideal for someone who would like to learn about arts administration but willing to do the non-glamorous work necessary to make it happen. Successful candidates will have good problem-solving skills; attention to detail; work well under pressure; take initiative; have a calm and flexible demeanor; and be able to multi-task many assignments of equal priority.
Seeking an entry-level administrator to work 24-29 hours a week as TADA! Youth Theater?s Administrative Assistant between the hours of12pm-6pm on weekdays. Candidate will also have the option of acting as TADA!?s Box Office Manager for additional pay. Ideal candidate will have customer service, organizational, general office and child care experience, and will commit to staying in position for 12 months.

TADA! is not seeking new Teaching Artists at this time. TADA!'s internship program offers students a hands-on opportunity to learn about the operations of a renowned youth theater and arts education organization. We are always looking for smart, motivated people to join our team. Send us your resume and a cover letter telling us why you're interested in TADA!. College and graduate student interns can arrange to receive credit and may choose to complete a project in conjunction with their internship with the approval of TADA!'s management and we can work around your class schedule. Artistic Intern: TADA! seeks an Artistic Intern to join our team. Intern will report directly to the Executive & Artistic Director, Janine Nina Trevens. An excellent opportunity to gain experience in the administrative aspects of a performing arts organization. Intern must be organized, computer proficient in MS Office software and Google Docs, able to multi-task, and possess the ability to function with a wide range of personalities and age ranges. We are also currently seeking an Assistant Director for our summer musical. The position requires working with youth and teens while assisting in rehearsals and Ensemble events. Education Intern: TADA! is seeking Education Interns to support TADA!'s renowned arts education work through arts administration and/or direct teaching artist opportunities. In addition to providing hands-on assistance and observation of our Education Programs, interns will learn how to create, manage and produce effective theater programming for youth. Interns are expected to have a commitment to theater and education, provide administrative support to the Education staff, be well organized and have strong attention to detail, demonstrate computer proficiency, and commit to a consistent schedule for at least one month. Production Intern: TADA! is looking for a Production Intern to join our team in providing assistance to our Production Department while learning about the operation of a youth theater from a production standpoint. Intern will report directly to the production supervisor and works closely with all production staff members. Intern should possess demonstrated computer skills, preferably with MS Word and Excel, and interact successfully with a wide range of personalities including staff, artists, volunteers, parents and a cast of kids, on the phone and in person. Internship is unpaid, however additional paid opportunities may be available. College credit available.
