TADA! is not seeking new Teaching Artists at this time. TADA!'s internship program offers students a hands-on opportunity to learn about the operations of a renowned youth theater and arts education organization. We are always looking for smart, motivated people to join our team. Send us your resume and a cover letter telling us why you're interested in TADA!. College and graduate student interns can arrange to receive credit and may choose to complete a project in conjunction with their internship with the approval of TADA!'s management and we can work around your class schedule. Internships are generally unpaid. Please note: TADA! does not provide housing for interns.
Artistic Intern: TADA!'s Executive and Artistic Director seeks a Personal Assistant intern. Intern will report directly to the Executive and Artistic Director, Janine Nina Trevens. An excellent opportunity to gain experience in both administrative and artistic aspects of a performing arts and youth development organization. Intern must be organized, computer proficient in MS Office software and Google Docs, able to multi-task, and possess the ability to function with a wide range of personalities and age ranges. Development & Marketing Intern: TADA! is looking for a Development and Marketing Intern to join our team. Intern will assist specifically with the planning of TADA!'s 30th Anniversary on May 23rd. Tasks include but are not limited to: brainstorming, researching auction items, following up with contacts and who has donated items/experiences in the past for the, silent and live auction at the event. In addition a variety of development and marketing duties include: researching grants, assisting with individual giving, marketing, publicity, press and more. Excellent opportunity to gain experience in development and marketing and be an active player in a great organization. Intern should be organized, computer savvy, dedicated, able to multi-task and self-motivate. College credit available. Education Intern: TADA! is seeking Education Interns to support TADA!'s renowned arts education work through arts administration and direct Teaching Artist assistant opportunities. In addition to providing hands-on assistance and observation of our Education Programs, interns will learn how to create, manage and produce effective theater programming for youth. Interns are expected to have commitment to theater and education, provide administrative support to the Education staff, be well organized, have strong attention to detail, demonstrate computer proficiency an commit to a consistent schedule for at least one month. Assistant Stage Manager/Production Assistant: The Assistant Stage Manager (ASM)/Production Assistant works closely with and assists the Production Stage Manager with all of her/his duties. This includes but is not limited to: attending all production meetings, rehearsals, technical rehearsals and performances, helping gather/track props, running the deck during technical rehearsals and performances, as wells working very closely with the cast of young actors. The ASM should set an example in punctuality and professionalism and it is important the ASM is flexible and takes initiative.
We are specifically looking for an ASM to work for our upcoming production of Adventures from Ezra Jack Keats: Skates and Maggie and the Pirate. Rehearsals start on June 1st and run until July 2nd (Wed.-Thurs. 4pm-7pm, Fri. 4pm-8pm, Sat.-Sun. 12pm-6pm) Starting June 29th, we rehearse (Wed-Sun 12pm-6pm) Technical rehearsals are July 5th-9th (11am-8pm). Performances are July 9th-August 4th (Tues.-Thurs. 12pm & 2pm, Friday: 12pm, Sat. 2pm & 4pm)
